Wembanyama waited until April 1st, or April Fools Day, to share his rather hilarious response.
“BREAKING: Victor Wembanyama will NOT declare for the 2023 NBA Draft. He will play another season for Metropolitans 92,” Buttcrack Sports tweeted.
“Yes indeed @Metropolitans92,” Wembanyama wrote on Saturday.
The majority of teams struggling this season have their sights set on landing Wembanyama in the NBA Draft. Many people around the basketball world believe Victor Wembanyama has the potential to be a true superstar in every sense of the word. Wembanyama has expressed no shortage of confidence, stating that he wants to exceed the expectations.
