Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving is now a free agent.

Well, technically.

With the Boston Celtics officially eliminated from the playoffs, Irving's season is over. Now the next question is, will he stay in Boston?

The most recent online betting odds show that Kyrie will most likely end up with either the New York Knicks or the Brooklyn Nets next season.

Kyrie Irving's team at start of 2019-20 season:

Knicks +200
Nets +300
Celtics +325
Lakers +500
Clippers +800
Mavericks +1000
Raptors +1200

The Knicks have been rumored to be on the driver's seat when it comes to signing Irving this summer. They have enough cap space to sign two max players, and the reported plan is to pair him with Golden State Warriors' Kevin Durant.

However, the Nets have also emerged as another suitor of Kyrie, and they can offer something that the Knicks can't, and that is stability from within the franchise.

Despite being recognized as one of the most valuable sports franchises in the world, the Knicks have failed to assemble a competitive team. Team owner James Dolan has been blamed by fans for his failure to attract superstars to the Big Apple. The Nets, on the other hand, have been constantly improving over the past couple of years, not only as a team but as a well-run franchise as well.

If Irving plans to start working on his off-court ventures, then the Knicks will be a great option for him. However, if he wants a team that's hungry for success, then the Nets is the place to go for him.

But the Knicks and the Nets aren't the only ones who will be interested in landing Irving. The two Los Angeles teams, the Lakers and the Clippers also have enough cap space to sign him.

If he chooses to go to the Lakers, Kyrie will be reunited with his former teammate LeBron James. If he signs with the Clippers, he will undoubtedly become the leader of a team that's been known for their grit and resiliency this season.

Of course, returning to Boston is still an option for Irving. After all, they're the only team that can offer him a full five-year max extension. However, there are reports that his teammates, particularly the younger guys on the roster, no longer want to play with him.

The season may be over for the Celtics, but not for Kyrie. This is just the beginning of another chapter in his career.
