After playing 15 minutes in his team's preseason opener on Friday, Boston Celtics big man Al Horford is slated to miss Boston's rematch against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.
According to the team, Horford is nursing a right wrist sprain that will require him to sit out his team's second preseason contest.

On Friday, Horford was a limited participant in the 104-97 loss against the Hornets. The 32-year-old scored only three points after going 1-of-3 from the field. He did chip in three rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block for a relatively well-rounded performance.
Article Continues BelowAmong all starters, Horford played the least amount of minutes. Even Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward — both of whom are coming off major injuries from last season — were afforded more playing time than Horford at 22 minutes apiece.
This does not sound like anything serious, and head coach Brad Stevens is likely just being cautious with his prized big man. After all, it is just the preseason and not much is at stake at this point.
Nonetheless, it is still important for Horford — who is unquestionably one of the team's most important players — to get a good run in with both Irving and Hayward in the mix. Last season's unexpected emergence of the Celtics following the loss of their two biggest superstars through injury have led many to question the type of adjustments the team will have to make once Irving and Hayward return to the rotation.
