Boston Celtics center Al Horford believes the team's biggest strength is their adaptability.

Horford says the Celtics can play small-ball or go big depending on what their opponent is doing. That type of versatility allows Boston to switch everything on defense.

“I think the strength of our team is that we are very adaptable,” Horford told Brian Robb of the Boston Sports Journal. “I'd say we are very adaptable and we have the ability to go small, to go big, and be efficient. That's one of the strengths of our group. Whether it's up to me playing at the 4 or the 5, I just think we can play both ways.”

In the Celtics' first round sweep of the Indiana Pacers, head coach Brad Stevens started Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Al Horford and Aron Baynes. Marcus Smart missed the entire series with a hip injury, so Stevens inserted Brown into the starting lineup.

Gordon Hayward, Marcus Morris, Terry Rozier and Daniel Theis are the four players who usually get the most playing time off the Celtics' bench. Boston will need its bench and versatility to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the playoffs. The Bucks have fire power at every position.
