The Celtics currently sport a 14-5 record — tied for third place in the Eastern Conference. There's a ton of games left to play, but analysts have been impressed by Boston's play thus far.
For fans of the Green and White, their team's relatively good start is a sign of relief. Not too long ago, the Celtics possessed all the talent in the world yet failed to maximize it.

In his seven years as head coach, Stevens has partnered with some of the league's smartest and most talented point guards such as Isaiah Thomas and Kyrie Irving. And placing Walker at the top of the lot certainly speaks volumes about the guard's skills.
Looking at the statistics, Walker has transformed the Celtics into a team that takes good care of the ball, per Nick Goss of NBC Sports.
So far, the Celtics have a turnover rate (percentage of possessions that end in a turnover) of 12.7 percent — first in the league (tied with the Dallas Mavericks). This is called The Kemba Effect, as during his six-year stint with the Charlotte Hornets, the team was either first or second in terms of best turnover rate.
In fact, Walker has a career-turnover rate of 10.5 (among players who average over 15 points and five assists per game) — second behind a guy named Michael Jordan (9.3).
