The Boston Celtics will be without center Enes Kanter when they take on the Toronto Raptors on Friday.
Kanter banged his knee in the second half of the Celtics' opening night loss to the Philadelphia 76ers and suffered a left knee contusion:

The Celtics lost to the Sixers by a final score of 107-93. Kanter played 25 minutes and finished with 12 points, six rebounds and two assists.
Article Continues BelowKanter split time last season with the New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers. He signed a two-year, $9.7 million deal with the Celtics this summer in free agency.
With the Knicks and Blazers, Kanter averaged 13.7 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 67 games while shooting 54.9 percent from the field, 29.4 percent from beyond the arc and 78.7 percent from the free-throw line. In the 2019 playoffs, Kanter put up 11.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game for Portland.
The Celtics, of course, lost All-Star Al Horford to the Sixers this offseason in free agency and traded Aron Baynes to the Phoenix Suns. As a result, Kanter is expected to have a big role with the Celtics this season.
Boston will look to rebound on Friday against the Raptors at home. All-Star Kemba Walker, who had a dreadful debut with the team versus the Sixers, will be eager to redeem himself.
