For those unaware, Boston Celtics big man Enes Kanter is a one-time WWE 24/7 champion. And he did it at Madison Square Garden — the home of the New York Knicks.
In a recent interview, Kanter shared he wasn't aware that he was slated to win the WWE 24/7 title at MSG in September 2019. To recall, Kanter spent a season and a half donning the Knicks jersey. It was a tough stint for the Turk as not only were the Knicks not winning games, but Kanter was also not receiving playing time.
"I never thought I'm going to win, I'll say championship, before the Knicks at Madison Square Garden."

With all those facts combined, Kanter winning the title and showing off his Celtics jersey made the moment more bittersweet. Kanter himself is aware of the rich history between the Knicks and Celtics. And he, too, has some sentiments towards the Knicks after his unsatisfying stint there.

Be as it may, it was a great moment for Kanter who's a lifelong professional wrestling fan. Recently, he even vowed that he'll be the WWE Universal Champion. And he'll win it at the biggest stage of them all: Wrestlemania.

But before he moves on to his professional career, he has to take care of business with the Celtics. Prior to the 2019-20 season's postponement, Kanter had been doing a stellar job as a reserve big man for Brad Stevens.
In 51 games (six starts), Kanter posted 8.2 points and 7.7 rebounds across 17.5 minutes. The Celtics had a 43-21 record for third in the East. They were poised to make waves in the playoffs. Some even say that they have the ability to win it all.
