In his latest blog post, Boston Celtics small forward Gordon Hayward spoke glowingly of center Enes Kanter.
Hayward is excited to play with Kanter again. The two were teammates on the Utah Jazz. Hayward says Kanter is “somebody that’s going to bring energy.”
Same thing with Enes. I played with Enes for three years in Utah and here we are again, full-circle seven years later.
Enes is somebody that’s going to bring energy. He’s got all the moves in the post. I think it’s pretty rare these days for big men to have post moves, but he certainly has a good post game down there. And as far as offensive rebounds are concerned, I think he’s one of the best bigs in the league at doing that. Over the years, he’s also learned to play really well there in the mid-roll/half-roll area, and has a great feel for how the game goes.
The fans are going love him, for sure. They always do.

Last season with the New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers, Enes Kanter averaged 13.7 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 67 games while shooting 54.9 percent from the field and 78.7 percent from the free-throw line. He signed a two-year, $9.7 million deal with the Celtics.
Gordon Hayward is confident everyone in Boston is going to love Kanter and his energy that he brings to the table on a nightly basis.
