Boston Celtics small forward Gordon Hayward is expected to be available on Saturday against the Golden State Warriors, according to A. Sherrod Blakeley of NBC Sports Boston.

Hayward and his wife, Robyn, welcomed their third child Thursday.

The Celtics enter their matchup against the Warriors with a record of 30-18, good for fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Golden State, meanwhile, is 34-14, first place in the Western Conference.

Gordon Hayward has appeared in 43 games this season for Boston. The swingman is averaging 11.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game and shooting 42.5 percent from the field, 31.9 percent from beyond the arc and 84.5 percent from the free-throw line.

The Celtics are 26-17 when Hayward plays this season. He has been coming off the bench since November 19. Hayward is averaging 11.5 points per game since then.

As expected, Gordon Hayward is still trying to find his rhythm on the basketball court after suffering that gruesome left ankle injury last season. The 28-year-old scored a season-high 35 points on Jan. 2 against the Minnesota Timberwolves at home. There have been some nights where Hayward appears to be turning the corner, but then there are other games where he looks completely lost on the court.

The Celtics and their loyal fan base are hoping that Gordon Hayward will round into form once the postseason starts.
