Just when many thought the Brooklyn Nets would walk away with the victory on Wednesday, the Boston Celtics said: Bro! Not Cool.

The Celtics rallied in the second half, including a suffocating defensive stand in the fourth quarter, to escape with the 114-107 win and take a 2-0 series edge against the Nets in their first round matchup in the NBA Playoffs.

The Celtics held Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to an awful shooting night, including a ghastly 1-of-17 combined field goals in the second half. Durant finished with 27 points but shot just 4-of-17 while Irving only had 10 points on 4-of-13 shooting.

KD struggled for the second straight game, and Celtics coach Ime Udoka was pretty pleased with their tactics to make life miserable for Durant, per the report of ESPN.

“I think we did that. We want to make him work defensively and offensively have bodies on him the whole time and try to wear him down.”

Unlike in Game 1, the Nets star was visibly more frustrated after Game 2, even calling out the Celtics for their physical play. Many expected a huge bounce-back game from KD after their previous loss, but Udoka and his wards were not having any of that.

The Celtics held the Nets to only 17 points in the final period to claim the win, once again stamping their class as the NBA's best defensive squad. For sure, KD would not totally disagree.
