Boston Celtics forward Semi Ojeleye did not shy away when asked by a fan what his thoughts were on a potential trade for James Harden.

Hosting a Christmas giveaway on his Twitch stream, Ojeleye responded to the inquiry by revealing that he did not believe the embattled Rockets' guard would “fit” with the current Celtics roster.

While it is still unclear how serious any trade discussions between the Celtics and Rockets are at this point, Ojeleye's comments come amidst reports that Boston is among the teams Harden has designated as one of his preferred destinations.

Though the forward may be correct in his estimation that the former MVP would present a challenging roster fit given his need for ball control, the comment is unusual as players tend to avoid discussing potential personnel moves. The discussion was also somewhat jarring, given the potential that Ojeleye himself, might be included in any potential deal between the two clubs.

Operating in the final year of his rookie contract, the 26-year old features superior defense and above-average three-point shooting, as he has established himself as a key component off the Celtics bench. Originally drafted in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft, Ojeleye–should he remain with the Celtics–is likely to see action as the primary defender against several Eastern Conference big men, much as he did on opening night against Giannis Antetokounmpo.

If the Celtics were curious about how Harden would be welcomed by his potential teammates, Ojeley's comments may not be the response they were hoping for.
