Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown might want to recall what he had for breakfast on Thursday. So he won't eat it ever again.
The Celtics suffered an ugly loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, 91-82 to drop to 16-19 on the season. But perhaps what's uglier was Brown's shooting woes. While he scored a game-high 30 points, he only shot 13-of-36 from the field, including 1-of-13 from beyond the arc. Quite noticeably, he also tallied zero assists.
According to ESPN Statistics & Information, Brown became just the second player in NBA history to miss at least 10 tw0-point attempts and 10 three-point attempts in a single game with not a single dime. The Celtics All-Star joined Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell for the not-so-ideal record.

It looked like Brown tried to do too much against the Clippers. But it's hard to blame him as well, especially with his running mate Jayson Tatum out due to COVID-19 protocols. Guard Marcus Smart was also out due to a hand injury.
Brown took it upon himself to try and carry the scoring load for the Celtics, but his valiant efforts fell short. Maybe he could've also tried to facilitate more and get his teammates involved. Center Robert Williams III was the only other Celtics player to score in twin digits with 16 points.
Things won't get easier for Brown and the Celtics as they will next face the Phoenix Suns on Friday.
