The Boston Celtics have a lot to be proud of this season, including having two All-Star representatives in Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum. The latter notably continues to impress, including making history as the youngest Celtic with eight-straight 20-point games.

Tatum achieved the rare feat during Friday's close win over the Atlanta Hawks at TD Garden. Aside from racking up seven three-pointers, he scored 32 points on an efficient 10-of-19 field goals. He is only 21 years and 341 days old.

Moreover, with this game, he became one of two Celtics in history to register consecutive 30-point games before turning 22 — joining Antoine Walker in the record books.

Whatever skepticism there was before about his talent’s ceiling are long gone. Tatum is proving doubters wrong, as he is posting a career-high 21.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

The Celtics did not do any trade during the deadline, so it is clear that they are leaning on Tatum, Walker, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart to lead the team to the Eastern Conference Finals and, eventually, to the Larry O'Brien trophy.

With that said, the continued improvement of Jayson Tatum is important in their hopes of getting deeper in the playoffs.

Boston is now 36-15 on the season following the win over the Hawks. They are third in the East, one and half game behind the second-seeded Toronto Raptors and eight games back of the NBA-best Milwaukee Bucks.
