After defeating the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, the Boston Celtics will travel to Sacramento to face the Kings for a back-to-back set. Kemba Walker, who just returned from knee injury, isn't expected to play in back-to-back games just yet. Asked about his status for Wednesday's outing, the All-Star point guard didn't give a definite answer as to whether he would suit up or not, via Jared Weiss of The Athletic.

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens isn't sure either on whether Walker will play against Sacramento. Walker sat out Boston's second game of a back-to-back just over a week ago in a win over the Chicago Bulls on Jan. 25 after they dealt the Cleveland Cavaliers a 38-point beat down the night before.

Walker just made his season debut a little over two weeks ago. He missed roughly the first month of the 2020-21 campaign after undergoing a procedure on his left knee in October.

The 4-time All-Star played a season-high 31 minutes in the Celtics' 111-107 victory over Golden State. He finished with 19 points, five rebounds, and seven assists in the win.

Considering he just came back, Walker has understandably struggled through the early goings of his 2020-21  campaign. He shot just 6-of-18 against the Dubs. This performance followed up a very rough 1-of-12 shooting night in Boston's heartbreaking 1-point loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night. Through seven games so far this season, Walker is averaging just 15.0 points while shooting a below-average 36.6 percent from the field.

From the looks of his increased minutes against Golden State, perhaps Walker is ready for an increased workload coming off his knee injury. Nevertheless, it would be smart for the Celtics to ease him up a bit on back-to-back sets.
