Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics have made their way to London, England for a match-up against the Philadelphia 76ers inside the 02 Center.
During Thursday morning's media availability, Irving was asked a question he's become increasingly familiar with. As most hoops fans know, the former No. 1 overall pick of the Draft has been chastised for his comments regarding the shape of the Earth.

“I felt like that question was gonna come,” Irving said with a smile, shaking his head. “It's not about whether the world is flat or whether the world is round. It's really about everyone just believing what they want to believe and feeling comfortable with it.
“I'm not a scientist,” Irving continued. “I'm not here to tell everyone that this is it. For me, it's just giving everyone the chance to do their own research and find their own knowledge, rather than having knowledge shoved to them.”
Irving makes a valid point about everyone being able to seek knowledge on their own accord, and it's probably safe to say he's tired of answering this question. However, humans have known that celestial bodies form into spherical shapes since the age of Pythagoras (roughly 500 B.C.). Nowadays, we have satellites and spacecrafts that can send back clear images of the Earth's curvature. Furthermore, the Earth's shadow is clearly round in shape as it passes over the Moon during a lunar eclipse.
Thursday night's game between the Celtics and Sixers is set to tip at 3:00 p.m. EST. NBA TV will have live broadcast coverage. Flat Earth or not, Irving will be ready.
