After scoring 29 points on Friday against the Toronto Raptors, Charlotte Hornets star point guard Kemba Walker became just the second player in franchise history to score at least 2,000 points in a season.
Hornets legend Glen Rice scored 2,115 points in 1996-97.
Kemba Walker is just the second player in @hornets history to score at least 2,000 points in a single season. He joins Glen Rice, who holds the team record with 2,115 points in 1996-97.

Walker is having the best statistical season of his career in 2018-19 with the Hornets. The three-time All-Star is averaging 25.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game while shooting 43.1 percent from the field, 35.5 percent from beyond the arc and 84.3 percent from the free-throw line.
Walker scored a whopping 60 points back in November against the Philadelphia 76ers. He's scored at least 40 points six times this season for the Hornets.
Charlotte is 37-42 on the season. They are in the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference standings. The Hornets are still mathematically alive to make the playoffs, but the odds are very slim.
Walker becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. He is widely expected to leave Charlotte since the franchise has failed to surround him with more talent. Walker has only made the playoffs twice with the Hornets.
Charlotte has three games left in the regular season. They face the Detroit Pistons, Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic. They pretty much have to go 3-0 if they want to make the postseason.
