Despite suffering a mild neck sprain against the Milwaukee Bucks, Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker hasn’t been ruled out for tomorrow’s game against the New York Knicks.

According to The Athletic’s Rod Boone, Walker didn’t practice today, instead receiving treatment for his sprain before heading home to rest. Whether or not Walker will be able to play tomorrow will be up to the trainers and how Walker feels.

The guard was injured late in the Hornets’ 108-99 road loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo blocked Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s attempt near the rim, and Walker and Eric Bledsoe dove to gain possession, with Antetokounmpo and Kidd-Gilchrist entering the fray.

In the chaos, Walker and Antetokounmpo collided, and Walker was rolled over in the process, hurting his neck and having to exit the game after being examined by a trainer.

Thankfully for him, the injury seems to have proved to be nothing serious, and even if the guard ends up having to miss games, it likely won’t be too many.

In a year that will end with him becoming an unrestricted free agent, Walker is currently averaging 25.0 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game this season, and has been rewarded with his great play by being named an All-Star starter for the upcoming game in Charlotte.

Despite the great play, the Hornets still find themselves contending for a relatively low spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

At 23-25, the Hornets are currently two games ahead of the Washington Wizards for the eighth seed in the playoffs, but they'll need their superstar point guard healthy in order to keep those playoff hopes alive.
