Kemba Walker has gone through yet another disappointing season filled with uncertainty and marred with injuries for this Charlotte Hornets team, which will have to make a decision on his future this summer.

The Hornets front office even dangled Walker in the trade market, hoping he could serve as a sweetener for teams to take on the loaded contracts of Nicolas Batum, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and Dwight Howard — contracts that are looked as inflated ones for those in league circles.

Charlotte seems to be headed for a rebuild this summer, posing the question to whether the 27-year-old is ready to go through that when he's coming into the prime of his career.

“I’m not sure. Nobody wants to lose. Especially not me,” said Walker, according to Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer.

Walker is coming off two All-Star seasons and has developed into one of the best point guards in the league — capturing the attention of many GMs who hope to make an offer for his services in the offseason.

The Bronx native remained noncommittal, given that the front office is still searching for a general manager to take over Rich Cho's post, which is being interim-filled by assistant Buzz Peterson.

“I haven’t thought about any of that,” Walker said. “It’s something I’ve got to deal with whenever it happens. It’s just not something that has come up to me.”

The Hornets are 28-28 this season, and while they're not mathematically eliminated from the postseason, they might as well be — sitting seven games behind the eighth place Bucks after losing five straight games.
