Kemba Walker's return to his old stomping grounds was greeted with plenty of cheer and praise, as the Bronx native dropped an effortless 25 points, six rebounds, six assists, four steals, and committed only two turnovers in a 119-107 win for the Charlotte Hornets over the young New York Knicks.

While Walker has been linked to his hometown Knicks with his free agency approaching, the 6-foot-1 dynamo claims there isn't any interest, at least not yet.

“I don’t have any interest in coming back home — right now,” said Walker on the appeal of playing for the Knicks, according to Zach Braziller of The New York Post.

Walker has repeatedly stated his intentions of remaining with the Hornets and being the franchise player moving forward, committed to the cause and thankful for the faith that ownership has had in him.

The Knicks have had anything but a decisive choice at point guard, playing musical chairs with second-year guard Frank Ntilikina, converted signing Trey Burke, and last season's trade return Emmanuel Mudiay.

Signing an All-Star like Walker in the midst of his best year as a pro could drastically change that.

“I think he’s one of the top five in the league at his position,” Knicks coach David Fizdale said.

While the nostalgia of playing at the arena he cherished as a kid is surely there, Walker assured there are special feelings when playing in Madison Square Garden.

“I mean, I’m home. This is where I’m from,” said Walker. “I’m pretty sure anyone that goes home to play where they’re from, it’s exciting for them. [It’s exciting] for me, when I get a chance to play in front of my family and friends, play in front of the people that know me best.”

The Hornets can offer Walker the most money to allow him to stay, but if things go haywire, he knows there's likely a place waiting for him at the mecca of basketball.
