Detroit Pistons All-Star power forward Blake Griffin is loving what he is seeing from point guard Derrick Rose right now.

After the Pistons defeated the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, Griffin said Rose — who finished with 18 points and five assists — “does everything at a different level speed wise.”

The Pistons signed Rose to a two-year deal in free agency this summer. The youngest MVP in NBA history has undergone four knee surgeries, two on each knee, but remains one of the quickest players in the league.

Last season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Rose averaged 18.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. The Chicago native shot 48.2 percent from the field, 37.0 percent from beyond the arc, 85.6 percent from the free-throw line and scored a career-high 50 points on Halloween against the Utah Jazz.

Both Griffin and Andre Drummond figure to get more easy looks at the basket playing with Rose. Griffin appeared in 75 games for the Pistons last season. The star big man put up 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game.

Rose can take some of the offensive pressure off from Griffin, especially in the fourth quarter. The Pistons averaged 107.0 points per game in 2018-19, which ranked 25th in the league. With Rose in the fold, Detroit should be more explosive on offense this upcoming season.
