Detroit Pistons starting small forward Tony Snell was on fire on Wednesday against the New York Knicks.

Snell played a perfect game for the Pistons, literally. He shot 9-of-9 from the field, 6-of-6 from beyond the arc and finished with 24 points.

Snell is just the ninth player in NBA history to make at least six 3-pointers in a game and shoot 100 percent. He's the first Pistons player to do it.

Thanks to Tony Snell, the Pistons defeated the Knicks at home to improve to 4-5 on the young season.

Detroit acquired Snell from the Milwaukee Bucks this summer. He entered Wednesday averaging 7.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game while shooting 38.3 percent overall, 37.5 percent from the 3-point line and a perfect 100 percent from the charity stripe.

Pistons All-Star Blake Griffin hasn't played this season and former MVP Derrick Rose has missed the last three games. The Pistons have to be happy to be 4-5. Once Griffin and Rose come back, Detroit is going to be tough to defend, especially since center Andre Drummond is playing like a monster so far this season.

Snell isn't going to shoot like this again, but if he can continue to hit open shots from deep and play solid defense, Detroit's coaching staff will be happy.
