Despite his calf strain, Kevin Durant was often seen in the NBA Finals hyping his Golden State Warriors teammates before games and greeting them after. However, there are fans who have been wondering why he hasn't been seen sitting on the bench despite his increasing presence in the team as he recovers from injury.
The Warriors, however, explained the reason for that, claiming that KD is receiving treatment in the locker room and that there's no available seat for him.
The Warriors' official reason for Kevin Durant not sitting on the bench during games: He's receiving treatment in the locker room, and there's not a seat for him. There are only enough seats for the 13 active players. https://t.co/bjsuR10oB1

Golden State is on the verge of losing in the NBA Finals. They are down 3-1 in the best-of-seven series against the Toronto Raptors, and a loss in Game 5 on Monday would officially end their season. Prior to the beginning of the series, the Warriors were optimistic that Durant would be able to return in either Game 3 or 4. That didn't happen, and they lost both contests.
There are reports that some people within the Dubs organization are already frustrated with the Durant situation, which is understandable considering that they are about to lose in the Finals. But KD seems to be doing everything he could to return in time to help save Golden State. He traveled with the team to Toronto and will reportedly practice to see if his body will be ready for Game 5.
As of this writing, the Warriors have officially listed KD as questionable for Game 5.
