As expected, the Golden State Warriors ended up as the no.1 seed out West with a 57-25 record. They are up against in what could be said as their polar opposite in the superstar-less Los Angeles Clippers.
The Houston Rockets, on the other hand, ended up fourth after the Portland Trail Blazers came from behind to beat the Kings and secure the third seed. With that said, Houston could face the Warriors in the second round if they survive the fifth-seeded Utah Jazz.
Michael Malone is leading the Denver Nuggets to their first playoffs under his tutelage, and waiting for them is the well-experienced Gregg Popovich and the San Antonio Spurs. The Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder, meanwhile, are up for an interesting battle that could well end up as a showdown between All-Star guards Damian Lillard and Russell Westbrook.

In the East, the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks play the Detroit Pistons. Remarkably, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. sweep their season four-game series against Motor City — three of which ended up with double-digit wins.
The second-seeded Toronto Raptors won't have that same source of confidence as the Bucks though, as they are up against a spirited Orlando Magic team that split their season series with them 2-2.
Philadelphia has their work cut out for them too. While the Brooklyn Nets ended up only as the sixth seed, they did win three times out of four against the 76ers through the course of the regular season.
Boston and Indiana's match-up is also intriguing, especially with the Celtics struggling for the better part of the season. Not to mention the injuries to key players such as Marcus Smart and Jayson Tatum.
The NBA playoffs start on Saturday, April 13.
