After Kevin Durant went down with an Achilles injury in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, people have started to look for someone to blame for what happened. On Monday night, the 10-time All-Star decided to play for the Golden State Warriors after missing almost an entire month due to a calf injury. He hit three of his five shots before going down in the second period. KD was assisted by his teammates to the locker room and an hour later, he was seen on crutches and in a walking boot.
Now it has been revealed that Durant suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and has undergone surgery to repair it. However, this just added fuel to the fire, as the speculations from 24 hours ago have now become a reality.
But for Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, people should stop pointing fingers as no one wanted the injury to happen. He said that they consulted multiple parties, including experts not affiliated with the team, and they all got the same answers.
Durant's calf injury was completely a non-factor in him rupturing his Achilles.

Some fans and media personnel called out the Warriors management for what happened to KD. Most of them still believe that the reigning two-time Finals MVP was forced to play in Game 5 because of the pressure from within the organization.
However, other people are speculating that Durant decided to play in Game 5 to prove to his critics that he is committed to the Warriors.
Regardless of what anyone believes in, Durant went out there and tried to help his team stave off elimination from the Finals. He did it to some extent, but it cost him an entire year of his career.
