NBA Free agency is less than a month away, and one of the biggest names who will be available in the market is Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant.

It is expected that several contenders, as well as big market teams, will go all-in on their pitch to sign him. However, it seems two franchises won't get huge consideration from him.

According to Henry Abbott of TrueHoops.com, NBA sources believe that the Los Angeles Lakers and Warriors could be out of the running to sign Durant, especially if KD really wants to lead his own team.

At this point, Durant is already a better overall player than LeBron and Steph. He's already outperformed Steph with the Warriors and will likely do the same to James if he joins the Lakers. However, those two are considered the faces of their respective teams and the league in general. KD is not likely to reach that status unless he joins a team like the New York Knicks, where he will immediately become the undisputed leader.

However, will there be another star that will join him if he decides to go to the Knicks?

The next couple of weeks will slowly but surely shed light on KD's free agency. Whether he stays with the Warriors or goes elsewhere, the team that will be able to sign him will instantly become title favorites next season.
