For me to be here, and still remain to be here, it’s a blessing. I thank God every day for me to be in this position.’
When you look at the motor Montrezl Harrell plays with, there are moments where he look like a man possessed. Often undersized, it doesn’t matter how big his opposition at center is – Harrell always figures out a way to score, and grab offensive rebounds. The reason for his passion is simple, he’s playing for more than just himself.
Harrell continues to ascend as one of the most promising bigs in the NBA.
After averaging 16.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists off the bench last season, Harrell has increased that production to 19.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in under 30 minutes per game. He has drawn rave reviews from teammate Lou Williams, who believes Harrell can be a superstar.
Through it all, Harrell continues to strive and prosper to make his family proud and give back all that they have given to him throughout his life.
