LaVar Ball as the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers? Let's file this under “things no one wants to see ever but also 100% wants to see.”

As of February 13th, the Lakers are actually under .500 (28-29) and in 10th place in the Western Conference. That's despite having LeBron James – the guy that's been in the NBA Finals every season for the last eight years.

This year, he doesn't have overwhelming talent around him, but he usually doesn't. Still, you'd think mixed with young talent like Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram – as well as Lonzo Ball – and veterans like Rajon Rondo, the Lakers would be better.

Instead, their season is up in the air as a playoff spot is a major question mark at this point. At the center of it all is head coach Luke Walton. He's been criticized plenty lately, and apparently has had some issues in the locker room.

Of course, Ball himself calling out Walton (and James) has just added fuel to the fire.

Ball is no stranger to headlines. Ever since his son Lonzo went to UCLA, LaVar has found his way to front pages. Whether it's calling out coaches, players, or Presidents – he's ready for any fight.

What this has accomplished though, is alienating his son. There are fans that root against Lonzo because of his dad. Although they might not openly admit it (some would), there are teams that wouldn't want Ball because of his father's antics.

As seen by clips of his coaching his kids in the past, it appears Lavar doesn't coddle them. He was seen calling out LaMelo for shooting too much during a game and playing poorly. However, let's not pretend like that would make him a good coach.

If by some miracle LaVar Ball ever was the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, that would lead to some hilarity. It would also end extremely poorly for just about everyone involved.

Good thing the odds are telling us there's almost no chance it will happen.
