The Los Angeles Lakers brought in a few newcomers this season to help in their quest for a repeat and an 18th championship in franchise history. Montrezl Harrell is one of the new players on the roster, and it appears Harrell has been getting along with his new teammates quite well so far.
Harrell recently had some fun with superstar teammate Anthony Davis on the way to a COVID-19 test:

Watching these two big men continue their efforts at developing chemistry will be key for a shortened 2020-21 season. There was very little speculation that Harrell would even consider joining the Lakers during the offseason. He was initially on schedule for a huge payday given the production that led to him winning Sixth Man of the Year with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Instead of getting a massive contract, Harrell took the opportunity to play for a club where he could compete for a championship and have his skills appreciated. While Harrell developed into a terrific player with the Clippers, some locker room drama and a rough run in the playoffs didn't help his cause ahead of free agency.
Ultimately, Harrell signed a two-year deal worth just shy of $19 million with the Lakers, leaving the Clippers in the dust. There will certainly be some emotional matchups between the two LA teams this season, and Harrell and Davis will do their best to give the Lakers the leg up.
The way things are looking so far, the Lakers are in good shape. Both Davis and Harrell played well in the most recent preseason game, with AD finally making his exhibition debut and Harrell going for 11 points off the bench. L.A. is 3-0 in the preseason so far, getting notable performances from players such as Talen Horton-Tucker and Kyle Kuzma
