With the Los Angeles Lakers set to take on their same-city rivals on Sunday, Lakers wing Jared Dudley had some time to slight his former team. The Lakers have just come off a 113-103 win over the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks and with the Clippers next, Dudley knows how important this weekend is.

“This is a tone setting type weekend where you set the tone on how you want to end the season,” Dudley said. “… For us, we hear the noise of ‘hey, you didn't beat these teams.' Well, down goes Milwaukee and then we'll see the Clippers on Sunday. There's no team that we can't beat when we play our best and they play their best, we know we'll come out on top.”

As far as Dudley's impact on the court, the 34-year-old veteran is no longer the player he once was. Playing just 7.8 minutes per game, the 13-year pro is averaging a mere 1.5 points and 1.1 rebounds per game while shooting 40.0 percent from the floor.

Despite that, it hasn't stopped Dudley from slighting the Lakers' rivals ahead of the pivotal matchup.

“It's a good rivalry. It's a little fun. It's not a serious rivalry, it's not like they've got any banners hanging down. Trust me, I would know, I played for them,” Dudley said.”

Friday's win moved the Lakers to 48-13 on the season. As for the Clippers, they 5.5 games behind the Lakers and sit in second place in the Western Conference.
