Dwyane Wade is the face of the Miami Heat franchise. He's the most beloved figure in franchise history, and for good reason.
So much so that back in February of 2020, the Heat legend was bestowed a lasting prize – his own street. The street fronting Biscayne Boulevarde, which is perpendicular to their home stadium, AmericanAirlines Arena, was dubbed Dwyane Wade Boulevard by Miami Mayor Francis Suarez.
#Miami has always been #WadeCounty but, today, it’s official. After giving @DwyaneWade the Key to the City, we’re now designating the street fronting Biscayne Blvd as Dwyane Wade Blvd. This solidifies D Wade not only as a @MiamiHEAT hero, but a @CityofMiami hero. @Brendan_Tobin pic.twitter.com/avJm7uszuA

But even a year later, it appears the Heat star is still loving his gift from the city. A fan tweeted at him, sharing that his Uber driver was passing Dwyane Wade Boulevard. Wade himself just had to react:

Low key this got me hyped 😂 https://t.co/GYXEhJecch

If die-hard Heat fans were concerned, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd vote to rename the entire city after Dwyane Wade. The 13-time All-Star brought glory to the Heat franchise like nobody had before, and probably nobody will for quite some time. Wade is directly responsible for each of their three championship runs, including the recruitment of the infamous Big 3 with LeBron James and Chris Bosh. Wade played 14 and a half seasons with Miami, and Heat fans loved every single minute he was on the court.
Dwyane Wade still getting hyped about his own street? You just love to see it.
