Jimmy Butler put the Miami Heat on his back in Game 6. His performance comes 10 years after a certain LeBron James pulled off a similar act against the very same Boston Celtics. What they both had in common was having Dwyane Wade in their respective corners.
The Heat icon apparently played a pivotal role in the win even without suiting up. After the game ended, Jimmy Butler immediately cited Dwyane Wade's words of encouragement as something that fueled his monster display.
“Honestly, I got a phone call and text message from D-Wade earlier today,” said Jimmy Butler after the Heat win. “He was telling me I can do this. Knee a little banged up, but nobody cares. Go out there and continue to build your legacy. That meant the world to me, so I appreciate you, D-Wade.”

Jimmy Butler's box score should read 47 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, and one vocal assist from Dwyane Wade.
Wade himself couldn't be prouder, too. Butler eclipsed both him and LeBron James for the Heat franchise record with the most points scored when facing playoff elimination.

Win or lose in Game 7, Jimmy Butler has shown that he's truly a player with championship mettle. Facing a Boston Celtics team that's healthier and arguably more stacked with talent, he overcame the odds and his own hurting body to post the game of his life.
