The Miami Heat suffered a brutal Eastern Conference Finals defeat after entering the postseason as the number one seed. The Heat have not won a championship since the LeBron James era in Miami despite falling just short in 2020 and 2022. Although it has been almost a month since their loss, star Jimmy Butler is still reeling.
“Man, honestly, I’m not ready to talk about basketball yet,” he said via Heat Nation. “I’m still in my feelings, so I don’t really get into it. I can’t. You’re opening up a door of emotions.”
Butler did all he could in the postseason. He averaged over 27 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals while playing through an injury.
The Heat star then commented on what he instead is focusing on right now.

Jimmy Butler is an NBA veteran still searching for his first ring. He spent five seasons in Chicago with the Bulls before joining the Timberwolves. After leaving Minnesota for the 76ers after just one full season, Butler ended up with the Heat in 2019 where he has been ever since.
Butler is one of the more respected players in the NBA. He is a 6-time All-Star who features leadership qualities. But his desire to win an NBA championship is clear. Although he may be focusing on ice cream and coffee right now, we can expect the Heat superstar to be ready to roll for the 2022-2023 campaign as Miami looks to make a Finals run.
