With the new NBA season tipping off in just a few days, some squads are still squandering to get their players vaccinated against COVID-19. Or as Kyrie Irving would perhaps call it, the bane of humanity's existence. Recently, Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro revealed the inoculation status of their team.

Herro, who built up his physique in the offseason in hopes of bouncing back after what many believe was a sophomore slump, said he's already fully vaccinated. A new father of a baby girl, it was an easy choice for Herro to get the shots (via Sun Sentinel).

“I think it’s very important for everyone to get vaccinated, in my opinion. Everyone in my house is vaccinated. And I think it’s very smart. There’s newborns, there’s people who are older in age, there’s people who are sick already.”

Herro also said 100 percent of the Heat roster is already fully vaccinated, giving the squad a bit of an advantage against other teams who will face troubles in some cities due to local COVID-19 mandates.

When asked about how difficult it must be for other teams to urge their players to get inoculated, the rising Heat star could only imagine.

“I’m sure it’s crazy.”

Herro has been balling out for the Heat in the preseason, as they have won all their four games so far.
