It looks like San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo is recovering well from his thumb injury that has been bothering him for weeks now.

Garoppolo suffered the injury in Week 16, during which he sustained a torn ligament and chipped bone in his right thumb. He missed the 49ers' Week 17 showdown because of the issue but returned in time for Week 18 against the Los Angeles Rams.

For what it's worth, it's quite clear Jimmy G. was not 100 percent last week, throwing for just one touchdown while having two interceptions. The 49ers were able to escape with a 27-24 victory to book their spot in the playoffs, but Garoppolo admitted his thumb was sore after the contest.

Fortunately, by the looks of it now, the thumb injury won't be an issue come the playoffs. As David Lombardi of The Athletic reported, Garoppolo said his thumb is “feeling great” now.

This is certainly music to the ears of the 49ers and their fans. After all, they can't afford to have Jimmy Garoppolo not at 100 percent when they face the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round on Sunday.

It will be the first time that both teams will face this 2021 season, but the 49ers know they will have a hard time against one of the better teams in the league in the Cowboys. Dallas finished the season 12-5, establishing themselves as a threat offensively and defensively.

For the 49ers to have a chance at beating the Cowboys, they will need Garoppolo to be as sharp as ever.
