LaMelo Ball has been in the spotlight for a long time. The limelight is growing even brighter now that's he's entering the NBA Draft. Almost everyone has seen his highlights at some point in his career, but what kind of pro player is LaMelo going to turn out to be?

On the daily Locked On Warriors Podcast, host Wes Goldberg is joined by former Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut, who is uniquely qualified to talk on LaMelo Ball as they both played in the Australian National Basketball League last season.

The NBA veteran gave an interesting comparison to the youngest Ball brother ahead of the NBA Draft.

Wes Goldberg: What's stood out to you with LaMelo's game in the NBL? Obviously, he's kind of being talked about as a possible number one pick what makes him worthy of that or not? Whatever your opinion is of it.

Andrew Bogut: Mainly his playmaking ability. I think when we played him, he seemed to make the right decisions every time down the floor. I think his passing is probably the number one aspect of his game. So I think he's going to be a pure point guard in the mold of what Jason Kidd used to be, that kind of mold. I don't see him as a big top scorer, I think he's more going to be a Jason Kidd, Rajon Rondo type player.

I think he's obviously talented on the offensive end but he needs to step up defensively but he's (LaMelo Ball) a young kid that probably hasn't been taught defensive principles at 19 years old. So you've got to give him the benefit of the doubt on that. It seems like he's a good listener, and he'll definitely improve in that aspect. Six months to a year in an NBA system with some of the coaching I think they'll clean it up.
