Russell Westbrook may have achieved a lot of success in his professional career so far, as he has already been named an All-Star six times, and won the MVP Award last season, but for him that is not the highlight of his life.
The Oklahoma City Thunder star point guard made an appearance on the show “Ellen” on Wednesday and had a fun interview with its host, Ellen DeGeneres. This is where he also revealed that being a father has been most exciting moment for him, and that he cannot wait to see how his son grows.
“Being a dad is amazing,” Westbrook said. “It’s fun. Very exciting. I’m having the time of my life, especially this summer. I’m just excited to see what he grows into.”

Westbrook became a father for the first time back in May, when his wife gave birth to their son, Noah. He has since shared numerous photos of himself enjoying his time with him. It only goes to show how proud he is of his child, and that the happiness he feels is truly genuine.
Now being a dad, it definitely gives him more motivation to play better. Noah can also serve as an inspiration for him to surpass his achievements from last season, which could be bad news for the rest of the competition. With an improved roster, and a life-changing summer break, it may be a good idea to start preparing to see the best of Russell Westbrook this coming season.
