Although they're one of three Western Conference teams without an All-Star on their roster, Rudy Gobert believes the Utah Jazz are going to have a ton of success this season.

Via ESPN's Tim MacMahon:

“All-Stars or no All-Stars,” Gobert said, “we're going to win a lot of games.”

So far, so good for Gobert and the Jazz, as they're holding a 3-1 record through the early stages of this season. Even without an official All-Star, Utah has a talented roster — one that consists of players like Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell and Bojan Bogdanovic, along with Gobert. For this reason, many experts are labeling them as a contender in the Western Conference.

Making it to the latter stages of the playoffs without an All-Star will be a tall order, but it has been done in the past:

According to the Elias Sports Bureau research, since 1970-71, only two teams have reached the conference finals featuring a roster that didn't have an All-Star prior to that season: the 1976-77 and 1998-99 Portland Trail Blazers.

Gobert, in particular, has been playing well for Utah. The Stifle Tower logged 36 minutes in Monday night's 96-95 victory over the Phoenix Suns, notching 15 points, 18 rebounds, three steals and one block. He also knocked down 11 of his 12 attempts at the free-throw line. Mitchell led the Jazz in scoring against the Suns with 25 points, including a game-winning foul shot with 0.4 seconds remaining.

The Jazz will be back in action on Wednesday night, when they'll serve as hosts to the Los Angeles Clippers. Tip-off inside Vivint Smart Home Arena is set for 10:00 p.m. ET, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
