Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Joe Harris says players were crying at halftime because of the Caris LeVert injury.

LeVert suffered a gruesome leg injury in the first half against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He had to be carted off in a stretcher. It was a very sad scene. Players on both teams were in shock and started praying for LeVert, who is only 24-years-old.

“There was really just no words,” Joe Harris said after the game, via Malika Andrews of ESPN. “We didn't talk even when we came in at halftime. There was nothing to be said. Guys were crying. It was really that horrific just to see.

“He has done everything he could possibly do to put himself in a position to succeed, to do well and to be healthy and then you just have a freak accident. That's what makes it even tougher for all of us.”

Caris LeVert entered Monday averaging 19.0 points, 3.7 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 72.1 percent from the free-throw line. Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson said LeVert is the heart and soul of the team. This is just a tough blow to see, especially since LeVert was off to such a promising start.

Hopefully LeVert comes back even better next season for the Nets.
