Kevin Durant wore his new No. 7 Brooklyn Nets jersey for the first time on Thursday.

Nets fans got their first look at Durant in his new threads. The 2019-20 season is slowly approaching and, even though Durant is expected to miss the entire year recovering from his Achilles injury, it's still surreal for fans to see one of the best players in the game don the Brooklyn uniform:

Kevin Durant signed a four-year deal with Brooklyn as part of a sign-and-trade deal with the Golden State Warriors. The two-time Finals MVP will spend the season rehabbing his Achilles injury under the careful eye of the Nets' medical staff.

When Durant makes his Nets debut in 2020-21 (barring a surprise return), Brooklyn will be legitimate title contenders. This upcoming season, the Nets will still be really good with Kyrie Irving, DeAndre Jordan, Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert, Joe Harris and Jarrett Allen leading the way, but they likely won't compete for a championship until Durant returns.

A 10-time All-Star, Durant has career averages of 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 849 games. The former MVP is one of the best scorers of all time and Nets fans can't wait to see Durant on the floor at the Barclays Center, competing with Irving by his side.
