Brooklyn Nets superstar small forward Kevin Durant was one of the known NBA players to test positive for the coronavirus.

While there were only a few details about Durant's diagnosis, his business manager Rich Kleiman confessed that KD had to go through a “really scary” time after learning that he was coronavirus positive, per CNBC.

Kevin Durant actually told Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium that he tested positive for the dreaded virus. The Nets star didn't have to do that, but he understood the power of his voice and wanted to impact the community in a positive manner.

KD has recovered from COVID-19 and continues to wait for the NBA to restart. Games were suspended right after Utah Jazz All-Star center Rudy Gobert became the first player in the league to test positive.

If games do resume in the summer, don't expect to see Durant out there. The two-time Finals MVP is still recovering from his Achilles' tear. The Nets are going to remain cautious with Durant pretty much his entire tenure in Brooklyn since Achilles' injuries are very tough to come back from.

Durant, one of the best scorers in NBA history, has career averages of 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors. The Nets and their fans can't wait for the two-time champion to make his Brooklyn debut in 2020-21 with fellow All-Stars Kyrie Irving and DeAndre Jordan by his side.

The Nets still need to find a new coach. They could stick with Jacque Vaughn, who is currently the interim coach, but the franchise is also expected to consider Tyronn Lue, Jason Kidd, Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy.

Lue coached Irving on the Cleveland Cavaliers. The two won the 2016 championship together over the Warriors in seven epic games. Meanwhile, Kidd coached the Nets for one year in the 2013-14 season.
