Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant was happy to see his former teammate Spencer Dinwiddie healthy during their first face-off of the season.

After being sidelined due to a torn ACL, Spencer Dinwiddie made his return to Brooklyn on Monday as the Washington Wizards took on the Nets at home.

Overall, Dinwiddie was warmly welcomed by his old pals in Brooklyn, including Nets’ talisman Kevin Durant.

Speaking after the game, Durant admitted that it was “fun” playing against the new-look Wizards which includes Dinwiddie, the player “who can put pressure” on him aside from Bradley Beal.

“It’s good to see who you are early in the season especially going into this next game,” Durant said post-game via The New York Post. “We’re gonna play four teams that [were] in the playoffs last year. It was good to start the season off just seeing where you are individually and playing against different types of players.”

“You get guys like Brad [Beal] and Spencer [Dinwiddie] who can put pressure on you and having them guard. That stuff is fun just gauging yourself individually and as a team.”

Nets head coach Steve Nash, meanwhile, was also pleased to have witnessed a “100 percent” Dinwiddie back.

“He looks great. I’m really happy, excited for him. No one wants to see him to miss much time with a tough injury. To have him come back and look 100 percent and look like his old self is great news,” Nash said.

In the end, Durant and the Nets thumped the Wizards 104-90. Despite registering 10 points, six assists and five rebounds for Washington, Brooklyn managed to limit Dinwiddie to just three field goals made.
