Kyrie Irving has zero animosity against his former team, no matter what everyone says. The Brooklyn Nets superstar was savage and dropped a 40 piece against the Boston Celtics on Thursday, but it was all love as soon as the final buzzer sounded as Irving showed nothing but affection and respect to Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker, and the rest of the visiting Celtics.

Irving was more than happy to dap them up after their 121-109 win over the C's.

Irving also let his game do the talking and didn't take it easy on his former squad. He ended with a game-high 40 points on 15-of-23 shooting, including 5-8 from deep. After the game, Irving made sure to let the media know that he's still not letting go of all the hate and slander thrown at him after his rather controversial exit from Beantown (via NBC Sports).

“Big surprise huh? To a lot of people. All that sh*t-talking about me and all the relationships I have with every teammate of mine. Now, we get to see it every game that I got some great people out here.”

The seven-time All-Star was on the wrong end of headlines after his two-season stint with the Celtics was marred with a ton of controversies about him and his relationship with his former teammates. Since his move to the Nets, Irving has been adamant that these were all blown out of proportion. His actions on Thursday, plus the mutual respect he got from the Celtics, definitely echoed that.

The enigmatic guard's relationship with the media has been a complicated one and expect critics to dial down their Haterade dosage as Kyrie Irving continues to prove doubters wrong.
