Brooklyn bromance is at full effect after Brooklyn Nets' superstars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant led their squad to victory against the second seed Phoenix Suns on Sunday. Both Irving and Durant, who returned from a hamstring injury, combined for 67 points in what was an offense masterpiece from these two.

One significant reason why Durant and Irving teamed up was because of their friendship. Both have a remarkable chemistry with each other not just on the court but also off the court as well. Durant, who came off the bench on Sunday for the Nets, showed once again why he is one of the best scorers the NBA has seen after making one unguardable shot after another. The best part? Irving cheering on the sidelines like he was Durant’s biggest fan.

If there’s one thing we learned from NBA champions in the past, it’s the importance of chemistry. The Nets superstars have already built that off-court chemistry with each other, thanks to Durant and Irving’s friendship outside of basketball. Their focus right now is to develop on-court chemistry as Irving, Durant and fellow superstar James Harden have only played seven games together. That alone might be a cause for concern for the Nets.

The main question moving forward would have to be if the three lethal players can defy the odds and win the championship even if they have only played seven games together as members of the Nets. With how the Nets are playing right now, there’s a good chance this could happen especially since they’re currently number one in the Eastern Conference—despite all the injuries they’ve endured this season.
