Brooklyn Nets star Patty Mills is a legend in his home country of Australia. He has always been proud of his heritage, and he never misses the opportunity to play for the Land Down Under in international competitions.

Recently though, Mills isn't too happy with Australia after WNBA player Tiffany Mitchell, who plays as an import in Australia's Women's National Basketball League, experienced racial discrimination because of her hair.

Mitchell took to Twitter to air her unfortunate story. She said she was told by league officials that she cannot play until she ties her braids or wear them into a bun.

Upon learning this, Mills sent her support for Mitchellvia Twitter, lamenting the sorry incident.

“No one should ever be singled out because of their color, origin, or ethnicity. It is unacceptable. I’m sorry you had to experience this @TiffMitch25. Sending lots of love and good vibes your way.”

Mitchell said the issue has been addressed and she has gotten support from her team, the Melbourne Boomers. The 27-year-old guard, who stars for the Indiana Fever in the WNBA, also expressed her deep gratitude to Mills for sending love her way. It's Mitchell's first stint in Australia.

Mills played one season in the National Basketball League, leading the Melbourne Tigers and getting the attention of NBA scouts. After a short stint in China, he was signed by the San Antonio Spurs.

Patty Mills, a key cog for the Nets, is a real one for calling out the league and supporting Tiffany Mitchell.
