The Brooklyn Nets have kicked off the 2018-19 NBA season by going 1-2, but they'll be glad to get Rondae Hollis-Jefferson back with the team on Wednesday. Hollis-Jefferson will be one of the most important players on the Nets' roster this season, and he's been dealing with some personal issues that have kept him from playing this season.  According to the New York Post, the team was 24-35 with him playing, but 4-19 without him. It's clear that this 6-foot-7 swingman will play a huge role in the young squad's success.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is entering his fourth NBA season. In his third year, he averaged 13.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists. He does a little bit of everything, but his greatest skill is his defensive versatility. His length, strength and speed allows him to guard four positions. Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson hopes the team's second best defender Treveon Graham can return by Wednesday as well.

“We’re going to miss him. So hoping he’ll be back ASAP, because without Rondae he’s our best, most versatile defender,” Atkinson said of Graham.”He’s all over the court. He can defend a point guard, 3, 4, even Blake Griffin. I thought he did a good job on him the other night. Our defense has been pretty good these first two games, and he’s a part of it, a big part of it.”

The Nets have definitely felt the impact of their defensive woes, as they fell to the Indiana Pacers 132-112 in their last game. If Hollis-Jefferson and Graham return to their lineup, the Nets will be able to showcase their full potential against the Cleveland Cavaliers this week.
