On a normal day, Luka Doncic is usually the one doing an ankle breaker. Well, Brooklyn Nets swingman Joe Harris says not today.

Joe Harris pulled off a clever fake on Luka Doncic to send the Mavs rookie to the floor, though it looks like the Slovenian wonderboy got hurt in the process.

Brooklyn is trying to snap a three-game losing streak that saw them slide down one spot in the Eastern Conference standings. From staying in the sixth seed for the past two months, the Nets are starting to lose grip and are now in the seventh seed.

The Nets are 32-33, and with 17 games left, they can't afford to have a long losing streak, especially since the Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic and Miami Heat are trying to steal one of the final spots in the East.

Beating the Mavs, who aren't playing for playoff contention anymore, could spark the Nets' turnaround.

Brooklyn is trying to make a statement this season, and making the playoffs is key to their plans. They have enough cap space to sign one or two superstars to max contracts, but they have to be able to convince free agents that they are serious in winning and contending for titles in the foreseeable future.

Adding a superstar to join the core of D'Angelo Russell, Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddle and Jarrett Allen could be the final missing piece in Brooklyn's championship aspirations.
