One would think playing for a celebrated team like the New England Patriots is a dream situation. Because why not? The Patriots have won numerous Super Bowl titles, they have a genius coach in Bill Belichick, and they have a loyal fanbase. Everything sounds cushy, right?

No, if you ask former Patriots star cornerback Darrelle Revis. He helped the squad win the trophy in Super Bowl XLIX, but he admitted on the I AM ATHLETE podcast that he didn't exactly enjoy his lone season in Foxborough because of the overly stern ship run by Belichick.

“When you deal with the things up there, it’s a little bit strenuous. And nobody likes it in the locker room. That’s to be honest—nobody. Nobody likes it!”

Revis, a four-time All-Pro First Team member, also said Belichick “isn't my guy.” The veteran drillmaster is known to be cantankerous and authoritarian, and Revis couldn't help but compare the Patriots coach to his experience under New York Jets mentor Rex Ryan.

Belichick and the Patriots are having a subpar stint so far this season with a 2-3 record.
