Adam “Pacman” Jones had a long and successful career in the NFL as a defensive back and special teams star.

A long portion of that career (from 2010 through 2017) were spent with the Cincinnati Bengals and in that time he built up several rivalries.

One of those, was with former Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden. Haden now plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Yesterday saw Jones received a box of signed Haden jerseys. What did Jones do with them? He promptly burned them.

Jones shared the video to Instagram, and it did not take long for Haden to respond. The cornerback claimed he had nothing to do with the jersey's being sent to Jones. It appears the two squashed any beef they had after that.

Per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network on Twitter, Haden's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has issued a statement on the situation.

“I want to clarify that Joe Haden was not involved in sending his jerseys to Adam Jones. He had no knowledge of this and was not connected to it. Furthermore Joe has been a first class person on and off the field. We do not appreciate or condone Jones negative reaction or comments. Joe has had immaculate track record in the NFL and should not be treated this way by another member of the NFL family.”

Rosenhaus went all out in defending Haden. He goes much further than just saying that the cornerback was not involved in the whole jersey scandal with Jones. Rosenhaus talks about Haden the player and the person, both on and off the field.

This is definitely an odd situation. One that no one could have guessed would have happened. A retired NFL player gets tons of signed jerseys of one of his rivals? Then he promptly goes on Instagram to burn the jerseys while tearing apart the player?

Usually, that would be marked down as something you would never see. This is 2020 though.
