Cleveland Browns rookie linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has been released from the hospital after suffering a scary throat injury in Sunday's 47-42 loss to the Chargers.
Good news: #Browns LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who was taken to an LA hospital after yesterday’s game after sustaining a throat contusion, was released from the hospital last night and cleared to travel to Cleveland this morning.

As Rapoport noted, he went to an LA hospital with a throat contusion. Considering he's now heading back to Cleveland, it looks like he avoided anything serious at this point. The Browns LB had four tackles and a forced fumble in Week 5 and has been a key part of their defense. Owusu-Koramoah has collected 19 tackles this season.
He wasn't the only player to suffer a throat injury on Sunday, either. The Browns' rivals, Cincinnati, also had their quarterback Joe Burrow go to the hospital with the exact same injury.
It appeared Owusu-Koramoah got hurt in the first quarter while making a tackle. He quickly retreated to the sideline and went down on one knee holding his throat. Nevertheless, the former Notre Dame toughed it out and played 68 of 75 snaps in the game.
With the loss, the Browns are now at 3-2 on the season. They dealt with numerous other blows as well, with cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams both getting hurt. Jadeveon Clowney was also absent on Sunday due to an elbow injury. Hopefully, Cleveland can get healthy in time for their Week 6 matchup with the unbeaten Arizona Cardinals.
