The Houston Texans got a taste of how good their offense could be with quarterback Deshaun Watson at the helm. He got to form a strong connection with top receiver DeAndre Hopkins and also had a magical four-game stretch with Will Fuller which resulted in seven touchdowns. Unfortunately, Watson’s knee injury cut things short for that trio.

But Watson believes that the immense potential is there with their passing game, and they will be looking to live up to that potential starting this season.

“[Our] potential [is] through the roof,” Watson said per Sarah Barshop of ESPN. “We're as good as we think and the work that we put in. We have a long way to go, but at the same time we have that mindset that we want to break records together … and try to get that ultimate goal. But that ultimate goal is so far from us, we want to make sure that we focus on now and taking it one day at a time so we can get to where we want to go.”

It’s hard to argue with Watson that the Texans have every chance to be a devastating passing offense. Watson was dynamite in his seven-game stretch last season as he racked up 1,699 yards and 19 touchdowns. In Hopkins, he’ll have one of the most productive receivers in the game for the last few years. And Fuller also provides the explosiveness and versatility that Watson believes could help form a “very scary” combination.

But obviously, Watson’s health will either make or break their success, both this year and in the coming years. If he can manage to stay on the field and play anywhere near the level he did last year, then the Texans can be one of the most dangerous aerial attacks in the league.
